A better breakfast for a better diet

Studies have shown, people who eat #breakfast generally have more healthy diets overall, have better eating habits and are less likely to be hungry for snacks during the day than people who skip breakfast. Children who eat an inadequate breakfast are more likely to make poor food choices not only for the rest of the day, but also over the longer term.

People who skip breakfast tend to nibble on snacks during the mid-morning or afternoon. This can be a problem if those snacks are low in fibre, vitamins and minerals, but high in fat and salt. Without the extra energy that breakfast can offer, some people feel lethargic and turn to high-energy food and drinks to get them through the day.
Here's some healthy #breakfastideas 👇
Hot oatmeal with extra toppings
Yogurt parfait with granola + fruit
Veggie egg scramble
Smoothie with fruits + vegetables
If you do skip breakfast, try a nutritious snack such as fresh fruit, #ElevatedOats Gluten-free Granola, veggie sticks + hummus, or a wholemeal sandwich to help you through that mid-morning hunger 🤤
Me? I'm not one for keeping things simple. I've been boosting my at home #oatmeal with different #superfoods for years to for more energy throughout the day. This blend is full of fiber, omega-3's, and antioxidants— all essential for a #healthydiet
To celebrate #oats + #breakfast, we've created the Basic Oat Blend 🥣
Use these cooking instructions for a #hotoatmeal
Bring 1 cup water (or your favorite mylk) and a pinch of salt to a boil in a small saucepan.
Stir in 1/2 cup of oats and reduce heat to medium; cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from the heat, cover and let stand for 2-3 minutes.
Add your own sweeteners, mix-ins, or toppings to create your own unique flavors

Here's a couple of my favorite hot oatmeal combos 👇
💥add cinnamon, maple syrup, blueberries, and add EO Gingerbread granola on top
💥add cinnamon, honey, pumpkin seeds, pecans, and coconut
This is a perfect base for your morning creativity and so easy to make for the whole family🧑🍳
Share how do you elevate your oats in the Elevated Oats Community 🙌 let's give each other some #oatspiration to try something new!
